Our Philosophy and Goals
The Bridge Center was established in 2006 with the ultimate goal of providing a comprehensive array of wrap-around services for children 6 through 18 years of age. Our hope is to help remove the barriers to success for children and adolescents through a process that addresses socioeconomic factors, educational deficiencies, chemical dependence, and mental health and behavioral concerns. By finding the causes, The Bridge Center plans to give hope to the future of our community.
The focus of The Bridge Center is to encourage and empower individuals and families who are facing barriers to success in order to enact positive change in their lives.
The Bridge Center offers a comprehensive portfolio of adolescent treatment options. All group and individual sessions are conducted by Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors certified and licensed by the Nevada Board of Examiners for issues related to alcohol, drug, and gambling abuse. The Bridge Center's counselors and therapists employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Psychologists, Child Psychologists, and a Psychiatrist are available.
We place special emphasis on the development and implementation of a multi-modal truancy reduction/truancy prevention program that will address the sizeable truancy problem in local schools. Our hope is to help remove the barriers to success for the habitually truant adolescents through a process that addresses socioeconomic factors, educational deficiencies, chemical dependence, and mental health concerns.
Current Programs
Truancy Reduction And Prevention Program (TRAPP) -- A CasaSTART model based on a BEST Practices program that addresses socioeconomic barriers, educational deficiencies, chemical dependence, and behavioral issues that may cause an adolescent’s lack of consistent attendance and success in school.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) -- The Intensive Outpatient Program for Addiction Treatment is a chemical dependency program designed to assist adolescents (age 13-18) in addressing their substance addiction issues when traditional outpatient services have failed. The Bridge Center accomplishes this through a series of strategic services and interventions offered over a 30-day period.
Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment -- Substance abuse therapy incorporating individual counseling, group therapy and skill building to help young people live drug and alcohol free.
Individual and Family Counseling -- Therapeutic sessions and case management to assist families develop and strengthen interpersonal communication, coping skills, empowerment and cohesion.
Elective Drug Screening -- Affordable, simple and accurate on-site drug screening for parents who want to ensure the safety and health of their adolescents.
Psycho-educational Groups -- Prevention, Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Life Skills and Family Wellness groups are offered weekly to aid adolescents and families in their recovery.
