RENO, NV – March 16, 2007 – The Bridge Center, an innovative Reno-based non-profit provider of comprehensive counter-truancy, substance abuse, and family counseling services has announced its acceptance into the Great Basin Primary Care Association (GBPCA), a Nevada regional network of health care providers.
As part of the GBPCA, The Bridge Center will share the association’s mission and vision to promote access to affordable, comprehensive and quality health care for Nevada's underserved populations. Furthermore, The Bridge Center will support The GBPCA’s aim to advocate on behalf of Community Health Centers, Tribal Health Clinics and other safety-net providers in order for the health status of underserved Nevadans to be improved.
The GBPCA is also a sponsor of the 100% campaign, whereby the association has welcomed the national campaign for 100% access to primary health care services and zero disparities in health status by 2010. In the association’s words, this means that every person in every underserved community in Nevada will have access to health care, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or income.
